In the Media: War Child to War Horse – Maggie Fergusson

The year of Michael Morpurgo rolls on!

After the success of the film War Horse and with more adaptations on the way, attention has turned to the former Children’s Laureate behind the best-selling books and blockbuster films.

The unbookish young Michael Morpurgo never dreamed of becoming a best-selling author but rather envisioned the life of an army officer ahead of himself. In this collaborative biography by Maggie Fergusson (each chapter is answered with a story by Michael) Michael’s own story, as strange and surprising as any he has written, is brought to the forefront.

The Telegraph have run extracts from Michael Morpurgo: War Child to War Horse, The Independent had an interview with Maggie and Michael and they will both be appearing on national TV and radio to talk about the book.

Reviews are confirmed in the Sunday Times, Guardian, Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Independent and Country Life.

Maggie and Michael will also open the South Bank Literature Festival as well as appearing in conversation at the Hay Festival  and the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
